What is the difference between evaluative and determinant criteria? What attributes do you consider to be evaluative and determinant criteria in the selection of a new TV? A new car? Evaluative criteria- are the attributes, features, or potential benefits that consumers consider when reviewing possible solutions to a problem. Determinant criteria- are the evaluative criteria that are related to the actual choice that is made, Consumers don't always know the criteria that are determinant. The determinant attributes of buying a TV depends on who is buying the TV and who its for .... if you like to watch sports, the determinant attributes would be that you would like a large screen TV to watch the games on. Evaluative criteria could be the brand, the reputation of the quality of the TV.
