Pivot Table Samples #1 Find the total number of hours spent on each project (= SUM OF HOURS). Fields needed: Project Hours #2 Convert the data to = AVERAGE OF HOURS In the PivotTable Field List, locate the Values section and click the Hours and select Value Field Settings… Select: Average Click OK #3 Convert to =COUNT of hours – using the Pivot Table to show how many times each project was worked on. #4 Fields needed: Date (June 2nd only) Project Staff Hours #5 Add a row in Data for 06/02/1998, Clayton, Project A, 6 hours, Southwest, 200 expenses Copy existing row for 06/02/1998 (Row 4) and change Spencer's data to Clayton's data Select the PivotTable, go to Options, and select and Refresh #6 Find the average hours spent on Project A, daily, by each person. Fields needed: Project (Project A only) Date Staff Hours #7 How many hours did Spencer spend each day on all projects? Fields needed: Staff (Spencer only) Project Date Hours Find out how many hours each employee worked on June 2 nd , by project.
