Nodal cilia: one per cell Motile cilia: many per cell Loss of FoxJ1 activity leads organ displacement and to loss of L/R asymmetry. Also, see a failure in nodal cilia development. Why? Leads to an inability of basal bodies to anchor to the apical cytoskeleton and subsequent failure of axonemal formation.
