William Fu Major Paper revision (Elizabeth) Malhotra English 131 A7 This paper does contain a proper style and tonal conventions that is appropriate to its audience. The writer does this by first speaking in a first person tone when giving a description of the inquiry process for her major paper. An example of this is her second paragraph where she begins “The inquiry process I plan to use in my major paper involves. ..” Another strong point is that rather than using the word research, the writer uses “I will question the United States’…” which supports her claim. It makes the United States seem to be in the wrong and this paper will discover why or how. Short Assignment 1.3 does use course readings within it. This is evident through the goal of using a logical, credible, and ethical appeal; which is logos, pathos, and ethos. The author also uses outside texts for each of these three appeals. This can be seen through the Hawaii’s Story for pathos, U.S. apology and a government worksheet for logos. Ethos is evident through the citation of these documents,
