Federal programme. .rules the same across canada also take in account unemployement rate in each province and territoire. . employer employee have to contribute to the programme to be eligible. . -departure from work have lost your job in the choice of the employer laid off due to lack of work. (if you stell not eligible) your decision if you had just cause really good reason to quitting (sexual harassement, descriminatiion, excessive over time, significant in work duties etc. .)Unless intelorable you have to prove you have taking all steps unions human rights commission labor standars act etc. . didn’t quit without trying to correct the problem When job left your employer will provide record of employement reason to quit heure travaillé pr EI Don’t go futher. .if no good reason if they do second part - Hours worked to qualifiy for EI Ei goes back tot wo years in examining if you qualify or not: the person comes to see you
