Appendix D Scope and Detail to 14 CFC Part 43 contains a comprehensive list of items that needed to be inspected for the 100 hours inspection of an aircraft. For every 12 months, an aircraft is required to have an annual inspection (14 CFR Part 91.4409a). The person in charge will be responsible to ensure that the annual inspection is done within the last 12 months. Like the 100-hour inspection, the annual inspection ensures the aircraft is in good condition, safe to flight, complies with required inspections, airworthiness directives and other airworthiness criteria.
