Johnston From: Aleksandar Sobot, Regional Manager of Sales for TeknoSport Date: October 5 th , 2010 Subject: Your revision to a response to the elimination of TeknoSport’s Sales Training Program As a former student of yours at the University of Western Ontario, I believe your expertise could be valuable in a pressing matter involving TeknoSport’s redistribution of resources. The regional sales management of TeknoSport, a leading sporting equipment retailer in Finland, Sweden and Norway, would appreciate your revision of a business memo that will be sent to the new president of the company, Harri Karvinen. The memo addresses Karvinen’s plan to eliminate TeknoSport’s sales training program (STP). The STP’s removal is of great concern to the Sales Managers because it is extremely popular and effective with all sales personnel, and directly contributes to TeknoSport’s competitive advantage. You will act as both my initial audience and gatekeeper, while Karvinen is my primary audience.
