TEMPLE University Dept. of French, German, Italian, Slavic Spring 2011 ITALIAN 1001, Italian Language I Instructor: Titina Caporale Office: Anderson 525 Email: Office Hours: M F 1/1:50 p.m. or by appointment The goal of this course is to introduce the essentials of speaking, undertanding, reading, and writingn Italian. We will also introduce some aspects of Italian history, culture and contemporery life, through varios media, including video, films, the internet, and songs. Required Texts : Percorsi , Italiano/Marchegiani (Pearson 2008) - textbook bundled with student activities manual, dictionary, and MyItalianLab code (careful! The code is in an envelope inside the textbook – do not throw out!). May be purchased at the university bookstore.
