Laboratory No. 5 In this lab you will Configure the router to deny access from your computer to other LANs ( Part1) and Write Extended Access Control Lists for packet filtering ( Part2) Part1 and Part2 will be executed alternatively, 40 minutes each one. Part1 In Part1 of this lab you will do actual router configuration using the Command Line Interface (CLI). You will use data from Lab No. 3 and Lab No. 4, please bring them with you. 1. Verify that you can ping from your computer to other computer at your LAN. 2. Verify that you can ping from your computer to another computer at different LAN. 3. Telnet to the router using HyperTerminal. 4. Write a Standard ACL denying packets from your computer to other LANs. Permit free traffic for any other packets from your LAN. See Lab No. 4 for this question and the following ones Write the lines of this ACL: ______________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ 5. See the ACL , by using show access-list # 6. Apply this ACL to interface FE 0/0 7. Write here the access-group command that you used ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ 8. Ping from your computer (NOT from the router) to a computer or switch from a different LAN. Chose one without the access control list required in this Lab. Verify that the ping doesn't work. 9.
