Assignment: Problem- Solving Simulation How did you interpret the problem? I first imagined the situation at hand. The man has a cat, dog and a mouse that need to be moved from one side of the river to the other. But if the cat is left with the mouse, the cat will fight the mouse, and if the cat and dog are left together they will fight. The best way to fully interpret this problem for me was by looking at the graphics. Realizing that only one animal could cross the river at a time, I had to figure out if any options were available to get these animals across without a fight between them. What strategy did you use and how did you evaluate your progress? The strategy I used for this activity was trial and error; however I made many attempts to get all three animals across the river, and failed just as many times! I took a moment to really contemplate the situation and after was able to find the solution. While trial and
