Somewhat out of date, last edition is 1980 The New Competitor Intelligence . Leonard M. Fuld. New York: John Wiley & Sons (1988). Excellent summary of major sources of competitor information. This edition is an update to his 1985 book. Standard Periodical Directory and Directory of Newsletters . New York: Oxbridge Communications Statistical Abstract of the United States . Suitland, MD: U.S. Bureau of Census, Department of Commerce, Public Information Office . A general overview of statistics collected by the federal government and other sources. Topics covered include geography, environment, labor force, communications, population, employment and earning, business enterprises, vital statistics, transportation, engery, manufacturers, foreign commerce and aid, SMSA statistics. Of particular value is that citations are provided identifying the original sources of all summary data.
