Thus, ma integer makes them in effect, binary). See screen shots next to this text box. No none of the side constraints have been added at this point the solver model Making them binary directly i.e. by using Solver's "bin" option should also wor principle, however it does not (we saw this in class but I couldn't believe it c happen and wanted to check the model one more time) . I will be reporting th solver.com shortly as this seems to be a serious bug in their code. See next shee browse down to row 95 for more details (and proof). Coming back to adding these constraints and avoiding certain routes; if you use constraints, guess what will happen? You will be unable to get a shortest path s with "5" as the answer.
