Riordan’s Corporate 2 Riordan’s Corporate Compliance Plan Riordan Manufacturing is an industry leader in plastic manufacturing with facilitates in Georgia, Michigan, California, and over-seas locations in the People’s Republic of China. Riordan currently employs over 500 workers with a mission to maintain a leader in the plastic industry. Dr. Riordan, the founder of Riordan Manufacturing, has commercialized his various technological patents for his plastic designs (University of Phoenix, 2004). It is important as the officers and directors of Riordan to expect this plan to complement the overall mission of Riordan. The Compliance Plan will be effective if top management lead by example and employees understand the importance of adhering to and abiding by the policies and procedures in the plan. This plan will be beneficial for employees and management because it gives different methods of resolving legal conflicts and guidance concerning reporting ethical issues in the workplace. These guidelines are set up for employees to follow as well as managers, to protect Riordan Manufacturing against internal and external liabilities and crimes. Any violation of the above procedure may result in employment disciplinary actions that could include at will termination. At will termination can be carried out by the employee or the employer at any time during employment (University of Phoenix, 2004).
