Kudler Fine Food 2 Kudler Fine Foods: Issues of an Organization The “Webster’s Third New International Dictionary Abridged,” defines an issue as “a matter that is in dispute” (Encyclopedia Brittanica, 2009) but defines a problem as “an unsettled matter demanding a solution or decision and requiring usually considerable thought” (Encyclopedia Brittanica, 2009, p. 1). Problems usually are bigger than issues because problem warrant a sense of urgency in resolving. Many issues, if left unhandled, can escalate to problems. In theory, if issues are handled in a timely and effective manner, then problems should be minimal. Fred Johnson will be analyzing Kudler’s Fine Foods’ (KFF) organization and statements for any issues that can hinder the success of their company. The manager, Kathy Kudler, states in KFF social responsibility statement, “items that are still in “good” condition are donated to local homeless shelters and food kitchens” (University of Phoenix, 2007, p. 3).
