CLUB IT PART 2 Page 2 4/17/2011 Club IT is a rapidly growing and successful night club that is owned by Ruben and Lisa. In order to remain successful and bring in more clientele they would need to do a lot of updating to there software and computer programs in there club to keep up with the new demand of technology. Even though the club has a website, it is in need of some major updates and changes to it. Change the webpage format to make it look more professional, Add a picture section, events, calendar, employee and members section to add some flare to it. Lisa and Ruben both said that the clients were able to purchase tickets in advance by phone or in-person, an easy solution to making the website better would be to allow the advance purchase of tickets to be done on-line, this could be done through pay-pal or other On-line credit cards websites. Adding a photo section to the website will show the users how interactive the club is and gives them an idea about the atmosphere it provides. To improve on the E-commence side of the business they can add an ATM machine inside the club, this allows there clientele to pull out money from here banks to purchase merchandise, food or beverages. Updating to an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system will help with the internal process inside of the business such as the Finance, Human resources, sales and marketing for the company. One of the biggest problems Club IT has is the way they draw access to there internet, They are currently using a dial-up connection which only allows then a maximum of 56kbps. This allows only allows them to use one line at a time. With a DSL or High speed internet service they can use the phone lines, Run credit cards and use the

This will improve the speed of communication through e-mail to venders or ordering products they need for the company. With the upgrade of the internet connection Club IT would be able to upgrade there IT programs with no major problems, this would allow for the upgrading of the website and the information passed along inside the Club. The downside to upgrading the internet would be the small cost change between using dial-up and High Speed Internet or DSL. The cost increase in the internet would be made up for by the happiness of employee’s, managers and owners and the speed and production of what can get down faster. A CRM program would be a viable option to help the staff members better understand the customers, and forms individualized relationships with customers, giving them a better customer satisfaction rating and maximize their profits (Rainer & Turban, 2008).
