Extra Credit Quiz 5
As I stated in class, you can make up 1/2 the credit lost on a problem on Quiz 5 if you
answer the appropriate replacement problem from the list below correctly. YOU MUST
ALSO STATE ALL THE LAWS OF EXPONENTS THAT YOU USE TO SOLVE ANY
GIVEN PROBLEM. There will be no partial credit. So if you either do not correctly answer
the problem or do not state all the laws of exponents needed to solve the problem, then you
will not receive the extra credit for the problem.
ONLY COMPLETE THIS ASSIGNMENT FOR THE PROBLEMS THAT YOU DID NOT
SOLVE CORRECTLY ON QUIZ 5.
This assignment is due on Tuesday, March 22, during
class (no later). You can hand it in earlier if you like. When you hand in the assignment,
you must also hand back Quiz 5
so that I can see the numbers of points that you lost for
any given problem. Xerox a copy of the quiz for yourself if you would like to study from it
for the test the next day.
I have added the summary from Section 2.1 on the next page that you can refer to when
