What are the areas of law that interest you most? The Relationship between Law and Social Work i) Law defines the roles of social workers. ii) Law regulates practice. iii) Legal processes are involved in social work practice. Organisational Context of Social Work (Lymbery, 2007) ‘In order to practise successfully, social workers must be aware of the pressures on the organisations within which they operate, and the political imperatives to which they are subject’ (Lymbery, 2007: 179).
