What does it mean to minimize combinational logic? It could mean a lot of things. Minimize gate delays Well technically speaking sum-of-products and products-of-sums is minimal (2 gate delays) even canonical sum-of-products and product-of-sums have only two gate delays. Minimize number of gates?
