Hardware Replacement Project 2 Citizens National was in dire need of improvements to their hardware and system, due to the implementation of a new CRM solution that would not operate on the outdated hardware. The five major variables of project management which are scope, time, cost, quality, and risk will be examined to determine best solution. Also Citizens National must know the considerations that must be applied when selecting projects that will deliver the best business value. The factors that will influence the projects risks will be explained to Citizens National and some strategies that will help minimize the projects risks. With all the risks and other factors; Citizens National will be identified with the best practices for them to manage this project. To start the project management objectives; the Scope will be determined so Citizens National will know everything needed to complete the project. Citizens National’s hardware will first have to be updated to work with the new system and software. The new CRM software will have two main contact points with customers, and those departments will be the sales force and call center so they could approve credit and loan applications faster. The new CRM system would also give Citizens National the ability to store interactions between bankers and customers. The system also needs to be more users friendly in order to stop the decline of sale with the complicated system. Citizens will use an online database system from Intuit called QuickBase, which includes modules for databases, spreadsheets, and sale management. Intuit will offer ready to go application packages for project management, sales management, and marketing. The business will be able to customize QuickBase themselves and QuickBase would also be able to integrate the new system with the Kirchman core banking application. The Time aspect of the major variable is very important, so everyone know how long every aspect of the project will take. The old CRM system took three years, but the new QuickBase system will be a
