Harris 1 Zharia Harris Dr. Chisholm Freshman Composition 20 September 2019 Physical Surroundings Physical surroundings are what make up most of this universe, from trees, to people, to buildings, vehicles, weather etc. Even though one may not realize how much they’re affected by those physical surroundings, they have huge impacts and lessons on and in our lives. People can be affected by these surroundings at different times in their life, in different settings, and even within different state of minds and mind sets. Even though people are blind to what really affects them, work is far from one. No matter where you work, your occupation, who you work with or where your job is located, it can cause many emotions to erupt. Work is one of those things that we know we must do yet dread every millisecond that we’re there in attendance. For instance, I loved working at my part time job at a BBQ buffet which smelt of fried chicken, hash and rice, green beans, and more. The place that was filled with college students from the University of South Carolina, fans from the Columbia Fireflies, and elderly people. While working there, I was getting paid nine dollars an hour as a student, but as soon as I was getting ready, I started complaining and wishing I didn’t have to go in that day. In this society, we are born into the workforce. Growing up, you go to school, graduate, go to college to study further into a career which is really a lifelong job. If you ever have the time to sit and think about the way life is set up, it’s messed up. You work every day of your life until you go on with the good lord, yes, of course there are times in life where you can
Harris 2 have fun and escape your work, but not forever. The world, no matter how or what way you may look at it, is revolved around working.
