Write a 350- to 700-word response to the following: Explain the communication process of neurons in the brain. List some common neurotransmitters and describe their effect on behavior. Human behavior and the thought process depend on microscopic nerve cells called neurons. Short fibers branching from the outer cell body called dendrites begins the communication process. The dendrites job in the communication process is to transmit messages to surrounding cells. When a dendrite gathers all the needed information it then sends the signal to a single elongated fiber called an axon. After this step all information continues to flow until it reaches the end of the axon. Once it hits the end of the axon it releases neuron transmitters and the neuron transmitters send the message to the next neuron.
