Parents and offspring’s make up the complexity of heredity. When a child is conceived they are created from the genes of both parents. The genetics that build the embryo are a way of showing the different traits inherited from each parent. Whether good genes or bad genes, they all form together to create the traits of an unborn fetus. Over time the fetus becomes a human baby, the human baby will be exposed to an environment that will contribute to the behavioral development. However genetics alone can not control a persons’ behavior. Hormones play a great part in a persons’ behavior. Hormones are made of endocrine glands; the endocrine gland system contains the thyroid gland, pineal gland, pituitary gland, and the adrenal gland. All these glands are carried through the blood to affect the body. Heredity and hormones both influence human behavior. Conception marks the beginning of behavioral development.
