Akilah Young 3/17/11 B.A. 3102 Discussion Points Executive Pay & Social Responsibility Comments The greater the annual reward an executive may receive, the greater the temptation to make reckless executive decisions that generate short-term earnings at the expense of long-term corporate health.” This statement remind me of the video on Enron and how the executives were dishonest just for immediate gratification rather than thinking of Enron’s future. After reading this article and watching the Enron film, I believe that there should be a limit on total compensation similar to the Dutch Law. I know that businesses despise the government but because many fraudulent acts happen within businesses, why doesn’t the government do something about it. If the government were to create regulations, businesses would protest but eventually they would have to abide by these rules. What type of power does a corporation hold over the government?

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
