Merchants of Cool is a documentary that gives an in-depth look on the marketing techniques that these big marketing companies to reach the youth. It shows the relationship between the media and teenagers. The movie gives a look into different companies that we are all familiar with and how they go about marketing and researching our generation. While watching the video, the progression and advance- ment of advertisement towards teenagers is very obvious. They show the different types of marketing re- search used to finding out the most effective way to reach the youth.
