Never before has so many people died in such a short period of time. There were over 70 million military personnel involved in creating this destruction. World War II spawned a lot of new technologies. Jet engines, radar and nuclear bombs are just a few examples. New machines also became more widely used like tanks, aircraft carriers and submarines. These technology advances has altered the way wars currently are being fought and future wars will be fought. Not only have these advances affected the military; it has also affected civilian life as well. Radar is used in airports to direct traffic. Jet engines propel pretty much the entire airline industry. These are just a few examples but there are many more....
