Alex Alemann 11/11/08 ENGL 190 The Reasons for Longer Dining Hours It has been a long day for the players on the baseball team. In order to be ready for an afternoon practice all of us take early classes. Most of us start school at 8 in the morning. Once we wake up it is a rat race until we go to sleep at night. After two or three classes we hurry over to the baseball field for practice. Once we get done fielding ground balls and taking swings we head over to the Chaifetz Arena until 7. The freshman and some upperclassmen players look at the clock nervously the entire workout. We hope that we will have enough time to race over to the Griesdeck dining hall to eat. The baseball team is just a small population of the school but we aren’t the only people asking for Saint Louis University to keep the dining halls open later. It is unfair to the athletes to close down the dining hall hours so early. The baseball and volleyball team both get out of weights at 7. The dining hall usually closes
