Additional details will be reviewed/provided during 5 class engagements that will raise score 20 points if included in the paper!* Your Future! The theme of this term project is “Your Future” The project is designed to kick off formal career planning very early in your college experience.

Great leaders were/are great planners. This project is designed to introduce you to a formal planning process. It allows you to create a strategic plan (10 years into the future - directional like a compass) then it requires you to create tactical/operational plans/actions. (Starting today through entry into the workforce upon graduation - more specific like a roadmap) Without a plan, you could wander aimlessly in your college years. As you will learn in life, the best results come when a very specific plan is created. The more detailed a plan, the better the plan can be followed and for this project, the higher the grade. It is never too early to start planning, since many freshmen seek summer internships, and internships are a critical part of preparing for the future. During my field trips, visits to 6+ new companies each year, CEO’s are asked to provide or insight for students. The #1 CEO response - have students increase their focus on communication skills. This project creates an opportunity to work both on written as well as oral communication skills. (interview questions) The #2 CEO response – make sure students gain better project management skills. This project provides general guidelines and has to be managed to a due date, keys to successful project management. The #3 CEO response – students need to become the CEO of their careers and not expect to be promoted by showing up or for the company to manage their careers by telling them what they should do. This report provides you a framework to begin the process of managing your career by creating 10 year plan. General Rules

The term project consists of five parts, as follows: Part* Suggested Length Percentage of Project I. Personal Evaluation 1 to 3 pages 20% II. Stock Market 4 to 8 pages 20% III. Company Research 1 to 3 pages 20% IV. Resume 1 page with references on a separate page 20% V. Practice Interview 1 to 3 pages 20% *The more detailed guidelines for each part follow in I-V. The project must have a cover sheet:
