A39970775 The readings today discussed the patterns in arrests across various cities of police officers with regards to domestic abusers and their victims. The overall pattern of the police force appears to be resolving the conflict and arresting is less often occurring. In more recent years the arrests have become more frequent but the likelihood of the victim wanting to continue prosecution still remains a very small margin. In all of the studies listed in these articles there was mention of the problems to validity with regards to the specific cases mentioned. Since there was such a variety of data it is important to take this into consideration when interpreting the data. There is always going to be some form of validity issue with any social research project. The fact that there is so much that can go wrong in these cases may make the data null in void if any problems which were viewed as not an issue, came to surface. The main problem with the case of police ride-along was the police unlikelihood to want to participate in extra paperwork
