MPM 1DI Assessment Weightings: 35% Application 25% Thinking/Inquiry 20% Communication 20% Grading Procedures: Students will be assessed under the categories of Knowledge & Understanding and Application using an analytic method i.e. 38.5/50. Levels will be assigned for achievement in TIPS (Thinking/Inquiry and Problem Solving) and Communication. The rubrics below will be used to determine the level of achievement. Note that an overall communication level will be assigned for every summative graded. The three communication expectations below will be consider for the purpose of assigning the level. An ‘R’ is assigned for remedial, indicating insufficient achievement of expectations. R- translates to 35%, R translates to 40% and R+ translates to 45% An ‘I’ will be given for incomplete work. This converts to 20% if no work is submitted and 30% if much of the work is missing. Generic Rubric for Mathematical Communication
