We will also view excerpts from a DVD on this topic. (The first few questions ask you to understand, draw inferences from, and appreciate tabular data and other information [including the notes] to Table 9.1 (“Economic activity by women and gender empowerment, selected countries”). 1. But first, review by asking and answering the following questions: a) What three components (elements) make up the “Human Development Index” (HDI)? And b) what is the HDI is intended to measure? b 2.
