1. Sugar consumption causes diabetes and obesity. FACT. Improper regulation of blood glucose results in either hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia. High blood glucose is most commonly associated with diabetes. Consumed, sugars are absorbed by intestine and then transported to the liver, where they metabolized. Overdose of sugars are rests that were not used in metabolism and they are compounds in fat. 2. Lipid consumption causes obesity. MYTH. Lipid consumption causes heart disease not obesity. 3. Consumption of large quantities (2-3x the RDA) of food protein promotes the growth of large muscles. MYTH .It helps to grown of muscles and you need just the enough amounts not 2 or 3 times more but you also need more than just protein. 4. Insulin resistance (Metabolic Syndrome) is a risk factor for and predictor of Type II Diabetes. FACT. Over time, insulin resistance can increase blood glucose levels, which can lead to type 2 diabetes.
