Review of devices, basic circuit laws, equivalent circuits, and circuit analysis techniques (resistive). Op amp circuits (resistive). b Diodes: I-V characteristic, half- and full-wave rectifiers, simple logic gates, diode models (exponential, piecewise linear, constant voltage-drop, ideal), iterative solution for diode circuits (nonlinear). Week 2 a Review of first-order RL and RC circuits (forced). Review of sinusoidal sources and phasors: phasor I-V relationships for devices, analysis of second-order circuits (using phasors). b Transformers: solving circuits that include transformer mutual inductance, dot conven- tion, reflected impedance. Ideal transformers: voltage and current equations based on transformer turns ratio, transformer circuit analysis.transformer turns ratio, transformer circuit analysis....
