Change is a Must for the Future Our world society has come to a point that all of us must pull together and change a few things we do when it comes to our environment. If we do not make some changes now future generations will have nothing but dust and dirt as their surrounding environment, if there is even that left for them. There is no need to run out and become a tree hugger, unless that is what is preferred, in order to contribute. If everyone simply did something small in order to contribute, the very damaged environment we live in can be kept, repaired and rebuilt for future generations. Even with the slightest of changes there might be some difficult decisions that need to me addressed on many levels. With such important decisions to be made of your own future and those to come, knowledge on the issue of the environment will be of great importance. Once the knowledge is obtained a decision of your choice will be much easier to address, figure out and continue to practice through learned and practiced ethical standards. In this day in and time we faced though dilemmas the with the right choices as individuals and groups can be fixed. Some of these general environmental issues that are being faced are global warming, pollution, ozone depletion and the rapid loss of our natural resources (Buzzle, 2010). We encounter most of these issues daily and do not even realize it, for we are a key reason for it all arising in the first place. We all have habits and have gotten use to doing things certain ways, well that time has come and change is a must for the future. While we face all these environmental issues as a human race, we are not the only ones effected by it. There are many species that are being affected greatly along with the

Environmental change 3 ecosystems these species live in (Buzzle, 2010). When global warming is spoken about most people do not want to hear about it, for it is not understood. When there is a lack of knowledge about a subject such as global warming or the environment people are less like to try and correct it. How are you supposed to correct it if you never understand it in the first place? Global warming even affect such things the rain fall pattern the whole Earth encounters (Buzzle, 2010). The biggest contributors for global warming is the green house effect. The green house effect is a “warming of the Earth’s surface and troposphere, caused by the presence of water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane and certain other gases in the air.” Water vapor is the largest of these factors causing the green house effect (Britannica, 2010). Pollution is one single word that has so much meaning to it.
