I do think the law should allow these kinds of creativities just as they would allow any other form of expression, as long as credit is given where due. Creative Commons is a good idea in my mind due to the fact that it protects those that put themselves and ideas out there to be seen and/ or heard. A lot of people are getting fame through the internet these days, and both DRM and Creative Commons could help protect them and their ideas so they don’t have to deal with possible lawsuits for copyright infringement down the road. It happens all the time these days.

By giving those people the rights to their creativity, anyone down the road that uses any part of it or reproduces it would have to give them credit for the idea. Musical Mash-Ups do this all the time in the clubs and on the radio. There are so many people doing it that it is hard to stop all of it, but if people do things right from the beginning than you wouldn’t have legal issues down the road....
