Math Help For many people the old saying “use it or lose it” applies to math skills. If this is you, then I STRONLY suggest that you begin brushing up on your math, metric conversion, dosage calculation skills. You will need to use them extensively in this class. Some suggestions to help you in this endeavor are listed below: Visit the Dosage Calc Practice web site listed on to practice dosage/calculation problems Visit the tutor center to work on your math skills Meet with a counselor in the counseling office ASAP (free service to WVC students) to identify barriers which may be impeding your success and to identify strategies for studying and coping with test anxiety Review your NET test with regards to your learning style and be sure to use study strategies that are most effective for your style. Study with a friend or class-mate who is good in math Work through chapter 6 in the Pharmacology book again paying special attention to areas in which you struggle
