Look at the model of DNA on the right. This is Figure 13.8A on p. 209 of your textbook. The little balls in the model are phosphates. You can figure out the rest. 3. Build the longest DNA molecule you can with the parts in your kit: Black pentagon – Deoxyribose sugar Purple pentagon – Ribose sugar White tube – Phosphate White peg – 2 or 3 Hydrogen bonds Green tube – Thymine Orange tube – Adenine Yellow tube – Guanine Blue tube – Cytosine Purple tube – Uracil 4. Bring your model to me, the teacher, in its double helix shape. I will check it and initial here: 5. Join with another group that has finished their DNA model and obtained initials.
