No problematic vocabulary or terminology b.) I chose answer choice A – Gangrene (line 13). I chose this answer choice because I felt that all the other choices connected on the level of words to depict emotions whereas this word depicted an example of an emotion. This answer is incorrect because although this word was not an emotion word, it correlated with corruption and malignity. c.) The correct answer choice is B – Zealous (line 7). This answer is correct because zealous means marked by active interest and enthusiasm whereas all the other words signify a dark tone. I did not choose this answer choice originally because I felt that zealous might have meant someone who is dark and gloomy. I might avoid a similar mistake by reading the question more carefully. 7.) In paragraph 5, Johnson seeks to understand what purpose this law serves. He discovers that people answer will all of the following reasons except a.) No problematic vocabulary or terminology b.) I chose answer choice – if the creditor were in the same boat, he would want to be punished. I chose this answer choice because I was running out of time and had to guess. This answer is incorrect because the text clearly state “…reply that if they were in debt they should meet with the same treatment. .”.
