Labor and Work Slavery can be described by a cruel type of labor that was forced. During the Civil War, many slaves were transported to America from Western Africa. They went through arduous labor and brutal punishment. They had to obey their master or they were beaten up. They worked in the plantation fields from early morning to sunset. These slaves were paid less compared to the amount they should have earned. Along with the adult slaves, their children were forced to work under the masters too. Work is what someone does for pleasure and has passion for it. It is your choice and you are not under oppression or force. During the modern days, high class people work to earn money and they still do not appreciate unlike the poor who work for their family and are grateful with the money they receive. High class people also work to feel superior of the poor and are stingy about being rich. In contrast, the poor work to improve their living standard. There are different reasons to why people may work but no one forces the work upon you. Although both labor and work have variations they are to some extent similar too. They
