Ant Bite To Appreciation As my footsteps got closer and nearer, they seemed like they were already shrewdly preparing for the worst circumstances. To them I was like an earthquake that could end their lives or like a pair of scissors that could cut off the piece of string they were hanging on to. This was their life, continuously being taken away and being taken away without any intentional efforts. As soon as I stride into the small, dark-brown, lump of dirt which I scantily noticed until I stepped on it, in the blink of an eye, tiny, reddish-orange ants exploded from the ant pile like a volcano of ants. They crawled insanely around, erupting in hundreds, attractively communicating through the movement of their bodies and antenna; they were desperately but wisely collaborating to protect their precious heap of dirt that they humbly identify as their only abode of heaven. In this situation, who would be more superior, all the thousands of ants together or me? Many would say the human of course, but I would say it is the ants that are the
