Jasmin Peters April 19, 2010 Retail Assignment Urban Outfitters The retailer that I chose to examine is Urban Outfitters. Their target audience is independent, urban minded young adults. Urban Outfitters targets young adults aged 18 to 30 through its unique merchandise mix and compelling store environment. Urban Outfitters distinguishes itself by providing a uniquely personal and creatively driven shopping experience. They are culturally eclectic, witty, and diverse. Urban Outfitters offers its customers the opportunity to create their own style and have fun while doing it. They have established a reputation with these young adults, who are culturally sophisticated, self-expressive and concerned with acceptance by their peer group. Urban Outfitters brand position is both attributes and beliefs and values. They sell you the freedom of expression through clothing.
