Christina Zinkel Dr. Johnston ISB 202 001 Science Friday September 25, 2008 The Science Friday from September 19 th , 2008 discussed astronomy in Arizona . In this particular discussion the topic centered around the Mount Lemmon Sky Center, and the guest on the show was Adam Block who works there in Tucson, Arizona . I always find the topic of astronomy interesting because I took an astronomy course last year and I always like to hear new facts and updates about the topic. One of the things that I enjoy hearing most are the percentages of what portion of space we know and can see . Adam Block said that of all of the light and dust particles that we can see in space makes up only about 4% of the total universe . He also said that there is 70% dark matter in the universe that expanding its size . I just think that it is amazing to think that of everything we know of, so few of it can be seen by us and that we have no idea what characterizes 70% of the universe .
