Executive Summary The report investigates the suitability of different venues for different types of events and conference. Different types of events require different types of services and facilities to ensure the smooth operation of the events. Then in this report, we had to judge the requirement for holding different types of events. The requirement for different types of events varies from one to another. While judging the suitability of different venues for different events, it was realized that these venues has areas of improvement.

1. Introduction This report covers all the issues of strategic and operational aspects in banqueting and events. In this report the suitability of different venues is justified for holding different conferencing and banqueting events. And the investigation also looks into the food and beverage service options available in different venues. 2. Research Method For activity 1, we physically visited the venues and gathered information from the venue authority and from the websites as well. For activity 2, we gathered some idea about the requirement of organizing different types of events. For activity3, it was own judgement that we applied. But the judgement is backed up with logic. 3. Findings 1. Activity 1 - Investigate Banqueting and Events Venues 1.1. An hotel with banqueting and events facilities – The Royal Garden Hotel, London 2-24 Kensington High St Kensington London W8 4PT The five star Royal Garden Hotel located on Kensington High Street adjacent to Kensington Palace and Gardens is the perfect place to stay whether on business or visiting London. 1.1.1. Location Kensington Palace - Princess Diana's former residence - is next door to  the hotel in the leafy surrounds of Kensington Gardens, a lovely green space that flanks Hyde Park.  Some short walk away to some of London's best museums such as the Natural History Museum, the  Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum. Shoppers flock to Kensington High Street for  its mix of chain and designer stores while Harrods and other Knightsbridge outlets is also a short walk  away. The Royal Garden is within a minute's walk of High Street Kensington underground station,  which provides access to the rest of London's attraction.

1.1.2. Bedrooms The hotel has 396 beautifully appointed bedrooms including 37 suites. All bedrooms are elegantly decorated and the hotel has recently introduced a new room category - The Garden Rooms. As the name suggests, these rooms have spectacular views out over Kensington Palace and Gardens.
