2AmazonAmazon.com is a vast Internet-based enterprise that sells books, music, movies, housewares, electronics, toys, and many other goods, either directly or as the middleman between other retailers and Amazon.com's millions of customers. Its Web services business includes renting data storage and computing resources, so-called "cloud computing," over the Internet. Its considerable online presence is such that, in 2012, 1 percent of all Internet traffic in North America traveled in and out of Amazon.com data centers. (Hall, 2020).Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, controls nearly 40 of all e-commerce in the USA. As per an estimate Amazon Web Services (AWS) controls almost half of the cloud-computing industry. Amazon controls 42 % of paper book sales and one-third of the market for streaming videos. With Amazon's new announced endeavors, the company seems unstoppable. With the strategy in place to grow the company in every possible direction, it has become challenging to comprehendthe nature of the business, let alone the endpoint of the ambitions. According to the company's annual report, Amazon's yearly sales growth rate was 20% in2019. However, even this growth rate understates the company's strong top-line momentum, as sales were up 22% year over year when excluding unfavorable impacts from year-over-year changes in foreign exchange rates during 2019. Sales in the company's reported fourth quarter of 2019 handily beat analysts' estimates, and earnings per crushed share expectations, sending the stock soaring to all-time highs and pushing Amazon's market cap to more than a trillion dollars. (Sparks, 2020). Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the big moneymaker for Amazon and seems to be making up for the losses the company is facing at other fronts.
