Unformatted text preview: Instructions Project: Designing a Scavenger Hunt A scavenger hunt is one method teachers and other types of educators use to teach academic concepts, reading and interpretation skills, and computer navigation skills to students. Your instructions assignment is to design a scavenger hunt involving the Internet, database searches, an audio-video piece important to your topic, a spet (live person) in the field, and a mix of sources requiring mobility (e.g., going to a campus location to retrieve information or finding archival material from a newspaper, etc.) on a topic agreed upon by all team members (be creative, but sensible). This scavenger hunt must be sophisticated enough to provide your high school students with useful information regarding the topic, practice on navigating computer sites, exploring alternative source materials, and incentive to respond to the assignment enthusiastically.
