1 Name of the sector : Pharmaceutical Present status of the industry: One of the fastest growing business sectors, total Market Size in 2008: US $ 715  M second highest contributor to national ex-chequer. Which is one of the largest  white-collar labor intensive employment sector in Bangladesh.   Mainly dominated  by local manufacturers 87% are local manufacturer and rest 13% are MNCs.  Bangladesh is now capable of producing high quality Products which includes  State-of-the-art   manufacturing   technology,   Sophisticated   QC   equipment   and  apparatus, highly skilled human resources. Product Mix The pharmaceuticals industry manufactures a wide range of diversified products  for their consumers. Most of the pharmaceutical firms manufacture the same  products but with a different brand name. Meanwhile the qualities of the products  are more or less equal. For fever and cold the firms usually offer tablets to their  targeted consumers. In addition, the pharmaceutical firms also offer different type  of syrups for the fever and cold diseases. Some of the pharmaceutical firms also  offer antibiotics in the form of capsules to their customers. According to the  nature of the medicine the products are shaped and designed. We export wide  range of pharmaceutical products covering all major therapeutic classes and  dosage forms. Besides conventional products, we also export High-Tech
