FINALS QUESTIONS: WORLD HISTORY 2010 LEADERSHIP: Chandragupta Maurya, Asoka, Confucius, Shihuangdi, Alexander the Great, Octavian These are all leaders we have touched on this semester. They each had their strengths and weaknesses. Consider the goals, methods, and actions of these historical figures and write an essay explaining what made them effective leaders. How did they contribute to the growth and development of their people? You must refer to at least three specific individuals. INFRASTRUCTURE: Asoka, Shihuangdi, Confucius, the Greeks and Romans, the Aztecs All of these leaders and groups understood the importance of a solid infrastructure (both physical and political). Write an essay defining the term “infrastructure” and explaining the significance of both political and physical infrastructure in building and maintaining an empire.
