I believe that in order to help the ELL students grow and understand in their day to day classes should be encouraged with visuals and also, sound recognition. The schools do have the ability to have auditory help with computer programs, these also come with visuals. Here are the top ten things I would do to helping an ELL student become successful in my class. 1. Identify which language that it is for sure a. There are times that Spanish is confused with their cousins. (ex. Portuguese) b. Have a meeting with the student’s parents to see what level they understand of the English language. c. If the parents have enough knowledge explains to them how to reinforce the lessons at home. 2. Once language is figured out, find visuals that the student could use as flash cards. a. You can get visual flash cards for the student to use on a temporary basis. b. Have them accessible on a binder ring for easy flipping and keeping them together.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
