One-way ANOVA is used to compare k population means. In this design there is one factor set at k levels. In two-way ANOVA two factors set at k levels. One-way ANOVA and two-way ANOVA differ in that the groups in two-way ANOVA have two categories of defining characteristics instead of one. Suppose an automobile company has two factories, and each factory makes the same three models of car.
