CNT 4714 – Enterprise Computing Fall 2010 - Syllabus Course Prerequisites: COP 3503, MAD 2104, CGS 3269 Class Meets: Monday, Wednesday, and Fri from 10:30 – 11:20 am in HEC 118 Course Objective: This course will expose you to the world of heterogeneous enterprise computing architecture with an emphasis on networked, distributed applications using objects. Texts : The following text will be used (somewhat) in this course: Advanced Java 2 Platform – How to Program, Deitel, Deitel, & Santry, 2002, Prentice-Hall, ISBN: 0-13-089560-1. Grading: This will be a project-based course and the course grade will be determined by your performance on the various projects that will be assigned throughout the semester. Anticipate between 5-7 projects covering the various topics we will discuss during the lectures. Some of the projects will be smaller and simpler in nature than others and as such the length of time devoted to each project will vary somewhat. Each project will include a detailed description of what you need to accomplish as well as the due date
