The history module (pp. 22-35) presents a historical review of managemant practices/theories. Review this module carefully and respond to the statement provided below. There is no "correct" response. You may agree or disagree with the statement. You MUST give sound reasoning for your input. STATEMENT The "scientific/classical" approaches to management practices have been largely, not entirely, replaced by "human relations/behavorial" approaches. This change has not been favorable to overall business growth and profitability. The application of scientific/ classical approaches to management will produce higher rates of growth and profitability. I believe that the human relations/behavioral approach are the way to run a company or any type of business. In this approach there is more of a connection to the workers and the company that will in turn help with production. That’s what businesses want right, a good profit. I believe that in using this approach instead of the scientific/classical approach there is more of an opportunity for that to happen. As one student already noted, I too am a stay at home mom and have a certain way of running things. If my work was not satisfying to me I would just be harming myself because I would
